Description: Best practices for breeding
strategies starts with a broad outline of tree breeding to show
the space wherein any particular programme might find its
place depending on tree species characteristics and breeding
objectives. Since the main emphasis is on intensive breeding
for plantation forests to supply wood-based industries, we
focus in the second part on an evaluation of six alternative
strategies representing intensive tree breeding.
